• Neural networks, associative memory, dynamic neural systems.
• Artificial intelligence, development theory, self-organisation principles.
• Applied AI-technology, neurocomputers.
Professional experience:
• Theoretical, applied and experimental researches: head of research for more than 20 projects in areas of data processing, pattern recognition, telecommunication and neurocybernetics.
• Experimental Design: scientific supervisor and deputy chief designer of sonar systems, the head of research of the first European digital neurocomputer (1970), the head of development of control system of the supercomputer ES 1766 (1987), inventor and head of development of modern neurocomputer NEUROLAND (2002).
• Academic activity: scientific advising graduate students (6 PhD theses are defended), lecturer on "Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks" in KPI and NAU (since 2000).
• A member of the editorial board of "Mathematical Machines and Systems" and the reviewer in the "Applied Soft Computing" journal.
